PUGMARKS offers cherishable camping experience to youngsters in wildlife, trekking and adventure. Pugmarks follows the principles of eco tourism, being sensitive to environment and ensuring that the locals benefit in the process.
Over the years, the promoters have conducted tours extensively in India, bringing the joy of exploration to a large cross section of society. They have chaperoned school students, escorted families as well as professional groups to a variety of destinations, from the snow clad mountains of Himalayas to the coral islands of Lakshadweep and from the estuaries of Sunderbans to the deserts of Rann of Kutch. This vast experience enables PUGMARKS to offer unique itineraries to their clients.
These itineraries are carefully worked out to cover an amazing mixture of heritage sites, wildlife sanctuaries and spectacular landscapes. Besides laying great emphasis on basic facilities like clean accommodation, good food, comfortable transport, PUGMARKS goes out of their way in making the tour truly enjoyable. Expert resource persons accompany the tour, providing a keen insight into the art, culture and history of the destination. Wild life excursion open a window on the most astonishing world- a brilliant butterfly, an exotic orchid, a crouching predator - - -
On the camps, the elements of excitement, fun, friendship and learning are superbly mixed to provide a memorable experience. The camps help all round development of youngsters building up confidence, imbibing values, enhancing personality.

People :

Anirudh Chaoji
43 yrs, is the chief promoter of PUGMARKS. A landscaper by profession, Anirudh is deeply involved in ecology restoration and environment education. He is a member of the state committee for Public Hearings on Industrial Pollution and spearheads the movement for Hospital Waste Management at the national level. He is also an avid birdwatcher and a committed wildlifer. A morning trail in the forest with him is indeed a cherishable experience.
His new approach to Eco-Restoration of limestone quarries - to create a habitat and not a mere plantation - was hailed by migratory birds when thousands of them descended for feeding and roosting this winter.


Chinmay Divekar:

Chinmay is an Adventure lover and history buff. He also likes to set expeditions in the wilderness. He has done his MMS (Marketing) from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management. He is also a Director of Nature Trails."

Hari K.Divekar

It was while toiling away as an engineer in his early days that Hari Divekar became fascinated with Nature. His rising curiosity to know more about it made him enroll as a member of the Bombay Natural History Society. He became passionately active in its working and helped in organizing numerous nationwide Snake exhibitions to increase awareness about these mysterious creatures. Fast forward to 1983 when he was stuck with the idea to create his own nature oriented experience for people from the fast-paced mentors.

Between 1983 and 1990, he acquired lands within 2 hours driving distance of Mumbai, Pune and Nashik to get his idea rolling. Today, a decade and a half later, he has successfully accomplished all that he sent out to do. Along the way he has published several papers in the BHNS and other Natural History Journals. At the behest of IUCN, he recently presented a paper on the Asiatic Wild Buffalo at Bangkok among other eminent naturalists from all over the globe. 

Mrudul Mody
An M-Tech from IIT, Mrudul is a consultant in the field of gold assaying and Hall marking. An avid trekker, he used to run a children’s activity centre as a hobby. Presently he is in charge of our Mumbai operations.

Tanvi Thatte
Tanvi is an engineering merit holder and MBA in Marketing. At Pugmarks, she heads the marketing wing. She has interests in light music, reading Marathi Literature and human psychology and most important for Pugmarks -Travelling new places.

Rupesh Majethiya

An Extremely enthusiastic and cheerful person with tones of experience in handling large groups, has done his basic course from ABVIMAS, manali, Star Level II certification in Kayaking and windsurfing from the Singapore Canoe Federation, also completed training for  water sports operator as certified by the National Institute of Water Sports, Goa.

He has completed the Award Leader and T4T (Training for Trainers) Certification courses in IAYP   ( Duke of Edinburgh)

With his passion for Old hindi songs,.specially Kishor Kumar classics, he can turn a campfire into a mehfil on his own.

Monish Dave
Monish is a commerce graduate with diversified interests in adventure sports, travelling & photography. He has been instrumental in establishing the obstacle course, high rope activities and flying fox at Pugmarks' campsites. He has completed his mountaineering course from ABVIMAS (Manali) and has over 8 yrs of experience in the field of conducting school outings, corporate workshops and survival training programmes.
Workaholic by nature, he heads the adventure wing of Pugmarks. He is popular amongst all age groups.

Naturalists-Resource persons :
All our tours are accompanied by first class naturalists. Professionally these people are engaged in field research - in botany, zoology, wildlife etc. and accompany our tours as experts. We owe popularity of our tours to this breed of professionals to a great extent.
The strength of PUGMARKS is its strong volunteer force. Talented youngsters enroll as volunteers and undergo regular training in various aspects of camp management. A senior volunteer commands lot of respect and admiration on the camp.
