  • Wildlife:
    Pench Tiger Reserve comprises the Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park, the Mowgli Pench Sanctuary and a vibrant buffer forest. A short visit to the park will leave you wanting for more and some more…

    Mammals: Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog, Sloth Bear, Chousingha, Chinkara, Barking Deer, Jackal, Fox, Palm Civet, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Porcupine and much more.
    Birds: Over 285 birds species of resident and migratory birds including the Malabar Pied Hornbill, Indian Pitta, Osprey, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, White-eyed Buzzard, etc.
    Reptiles: Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Calotes, Chameleon and Snakes are found commonly.
    Butterflies: Over 45 species of Butterflies are found at Pench
    Flora: Ghost Tree, Mahua, Ain, Bamboo, Teak and Bahava are attractions along with a lot more plant life.


  • Camp Objectives: 
    Reading and communicating with the forest. Exploration and observations of flora and fauna. Introducing participants to the joys of Indian Wildlife and helping them in becoming a Jungle Detective.

  • Day 1
    Report at the main porch of Pune station at 1600 hrs. Depart by Garib Rath (12113) to Nagpur at 1740 hrs.
    Mumbai campers report at 1130 hrs at Mumbai CST main porch. Board Nagarcoil Exp (16339) heading to Pune.
  • Day 2
    Arrive at Nagpur at 0925 hrs and proceed to Pench by SUV.
    Orientation at the resort followed by Nature trail.

  • Day 3
    Two Jungle Safaris (1 Morning and 1 Night) to view wildlife – wild boars, jackals, jungle cat, sloth bear, leopard, gaur, tiger. Post trail discussions.
    Swimming, Wildlife Documentary in the evening.

  • Day 4
    Visit Khindsi Lake for bird watching. On the jungle trail discover the tale tell signs, follow the Pugmarks, mimic the birds. Your instructors will teach you to read the jungle book. Hopefully you will see lots of wild animals. Another Jungle Safari in the evening. Camp fire at night.
  • Day 5
    Nature Games and Scavenger Hunt in the morning.
    Depart for Nagpur after lunch to board (12114) Pune Garibrath at 1835 hrs.
  • Day 6
    Arrive Pune in the morning by 0945 hrs.
    Mumbai campers board LTT Exp (11014). Reach LTT at 1430 hrs.

  • 3AC Train Travel both ways.
  • Transfers by AC vehicle, Gypsy safaris
  • AC rooms on multiple sharing basis.

      5) Sport shoes, socks, floaters, Suncap/ hat, water bottle

      6) Personal kit containing toilet accessories, sunscreen, cold cream, odomos, NO DEODORANT

      7) Torch with fresh batteries

      8) Sunglasses, camera, binoculars, (optional at your own risk)

      9) A bird book, field guide (if available)

      10) Personal medicine, if any, with a note explaining doses, time, quantity etc. with the name of the child, No need to send any extra medicine

      11) Pen, a small diary, a storybook

      12) Around 1500/- for meals during travel and for shopping

      13) Please don’t send Mobile phone, music player etc. with the child.

      14) An ID card with a colour copy, (school I card/ Adhaar card/ Driving License etc) (penalty of Rs 1500 if no ID card brought)
